Thomas B. Steiger Sr., opened a law office in the town of Mercersburg in 1946 upon his return from World War II service (on the destroyer USS Cassin Young in the Pacific). The Cassin Young is now a US historic ship moored in the Boston harbor. 

 

Thomas B. Steiger, Jr., joined his father's practice in 1973 as a partner. Thomas B. Steiger, Sr., was active in the practice of law until shortly before his death on December 8, 2007.

Robin D. Runk, the firm's Office Manager, has served since 1989 as a paralegal and notary.
